The Early Years
Johanna Brannan Lowe
15+ years working commercially as a Food & Prop Stylist, my combined skills make me an asset on set.
Economy of scale is not the only consideration. With an eye that consistently knows how to draw the food and the prop seamlessly together, it is an efficient, coherent and eloquent experience for the whole production. My single clear tone of voice for the photographer and the client ensures the vision and goals are felt throughout, from pre-production through to the shoot.
Nimble, fluid, and quick to improvise for solutions are also strong assets, in fact that is where I get my buzz on, along with a healthy obsession for detail.
Lastly, I’m proud to be able to wrangle napkins into artless moments of joy as I syringe a tiny droplet of glycerin onto a tomato slice, all whilst sitting doubled up in 18” of space.
My experience designing spaces , specifying materials and finishes has also been honed with three large scale renovations under my belt. This is clearly demonstrated through my spaces being called upon for location shoots and recently published in an interiors book, 'Lived-In Style' by Ki Nassauer.
